Is that a paradox? I'm sure you've dwelt on the meaning as long as I have. Certainly, there's nothing of significance that needs to be said in a letter. We have our eyes and our mouths and our breath and our hearts; yet, putting words on paper creates a different form of reality. "What good is it if you're only doing it for a game", you ask me (you thought it just before you got to that sentence, didn't you?). Ah, but I love that in you. The tough questions run in front of you like prey to tear apart with your small fingers and blunt teeth.

Words only carry reality when they can instill belief. A physical form, a piece of paper, ink marking out their shapes and trapping them are a form of plausibility. Do you believe this as you read it? Do those scurrying questions stop for a second? Is it affirmation, reaffirmation?
(The prefix 're-' is an interesting one, isn't it? Depending on the word it's appended to, it implies repetition — redo, resell — or it implies a return to an earlier state of being. Renew, refresh, rebuild, reunite. I digress. These kinds of doubt-instilling statements are second nature.)
